How to Claim the QEE Tax Credit

GA Form IT-QEE-TP1
Also known as the taxpayer’s Approval Letter. This is mailed to the taxpayer from the Georgia Department of Revenue or available online through the Georgia Tax Center.

GA Form IT-QEE-SSO1
Pay it Forward Scholarships provides this to taxpayers to acknowledge the tax credit donation. Pay it Forward Scholarships emails these in January for the prior year.

GA Form IT-QEE-TP2
To be completed by the taxpayer (or tax preparer) and transmitted with the return. Online tax filing software will typically walk taxpayers through completing this form.
Additional Information
The Georgia Department of Revenue requires taxpayers to file their Georgia income tax return electronically in order to claim the QEE Tax Credit. Taxpayers may not claim the credit by filing a paper version of the GA Form 500.
The QEE Tax Credit code is 125.
For Individuals - The QEE Tax Credit is claimed on the GA Form 500, Schedule 2.
For Corporations and Pass-Through Entities - We recommend contacting your tax advisor or tax preparer regarding the correct schedule to use.
